A Letter from the Principal Regarding the End of the School Year

Hello Stamford Academy Families,

As many of you have probably heard, Governor Lamont made the announcement yesterday that all Connecticut schools will be closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year due to COVID-19. Thus, Stamford Academy will continue to provide teaching and learning via distance learning from now through June 15th, the same way we have been since the beginning of distance learning in March.

For our Stamford Academy family, this is very heartbreaking news due to our closing at the end of this school year. We will not be able to have the closure we were hoping for. However, please know that the Stamford Academy and Domus staff members are working hard to re-imagine and create nontraditional plans for a graduation celebration for our seniors as well as ways to recognize the hard work of all of our students. We will share those details as we finalize them. The last day of school is June 15, 2020. We just urge you all to continue working hard on the classwork teachers are providing you through distance learning so you can end the school year on a high note!

I hope you are all safe and healthy.

Miss you and love you!

Andrea Weller
