Dear Stamford Academy Families,
I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and that you have found ways to get some fresh air while staying safe and healthy. Today marks the beginning of our second week of distance learning and, while some of our students have been working hard on their assignments, we are struggling to engage all students in distance learning.
Below are some reminders for distance learning and other services Stamford Academy is providing
Students will receive credit when they complete their distance learning assignments. Students must complete work in order to get credit for their classes.
Distance learning assignments can be completed one of two ways:
Through Google Classroom: Students can go to www.classroom.google.com and then click the + in the upper right hand corner of the page. Once a student clicks this, then click “Join class”. At this point, the student will be asked to enter the class code, which most have received or can get by reaching out to any Stamford Academy employee.
Students were given packets of work before distance learning began. The work they were given is for Tuesday, March 17 – Friday, March 27. We will have new packets for students for the week of March 30.
If you need to reach out to teachers, please see the post from March 16 on our website at www.stamfordacademy.org where all teacher emails are listed or contact them through Google Classroom.
If you need any essential household items, please reach out to your family advocate and your family advocate will do his or her best to get you items.
We all recognize that these are trying times. Please stay safe and healthy. Practice social distancing and only leave your house for essential needs.
I miss all of you!
